Blodgett Memorial Library Re-Opening

The staff and library board members would like to extend our sincerest appreciation for your patience as we have been working hard to get the library ready to receive our patrons back inside, we’ve missed you!

Beginning Monday, July 13th, 2020 the library will offer modified hours and services.


Unfortunately, we cannot accept any donations until further notice.

Please do not bring library items you wish to renew with you.

Masks and social distancing will be required.


We will be open: Monday-Thursday 10:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.

** Please note the library will close from 12:00 p.m.—2:00 p.m. every day for cleaning**

Curbside pick-up hours will remain on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. — 6:00 p.m. and will remain available from 12-2:00 p.m. while the library is closed.

2020 Summer Reading and Exercise Challenge!





Children, Teens, and Adults are all invited to participate in our 2020 Summer Reading and Exercise Challenge! The first step for registration is now open for this year’s virtual program!

Beginning next Monday, July 6th, you’ll finish the registration process and start logging in minutes reading and exercising, and as you reach milestones you’ll earn digital badges and be entered into our grand prize drawing that will be announced the week of August 24th!

The goal is to spend 30 minutes a day reading and 20 minutes a day exercising, whether it’s stretching, swimming, running, walking, dancing, bicycling, standing, jumping, or playing sports, it all counts!

Every Monday we’ll have a new Story Walk constructed on the library grounds and we’ll have a virtual event or storytime and each Friday will be First Chapter Friday, where we’ll read the first chapter of a book for weekend reading inspiration!

Contactless Curbside Service and Book Drop Launching Tuesday, June 2nd!

Blodgett Memorial Library has launched contactless curbside pick-up and open book drop Effective Tuesday, June 2nd! This will be available Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 10:00am-6:00pm

The health and safety of our patrons and staff is a top priority for Blodgett Memorial Library.

Reserve items by calling 845-896-9215.
Please have your library card available when you call. We will be unable to assist you without it.
You will need to pick up your items within 30-45 minutes after you make your call to reserve your items.
Currently, the service is limited to five (5) items per patron.
Curbside pick-up and the book drop will be open on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 10:00 am-6:00 pm starting June 2nd, and until further notice.
At this time, items can only be obtained via curbside pick-up. No one will be permitted inside the building. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding while we work together to ensure the health of our community!
